AIWA (Singapore)’s Warranty Policy

General Terms and Conditions

  1. AIWA (Singapore) warrants its products to be free from defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the warranty period and will at its sole discretion, repair, or replace the product with a similar product.
  2. TV  products’ warranty:
    – TV’s panel coverage for 1st year.
    – Manufacturing defects (parts & labors) coverage for 1st to 3rd year. 
  3. Audio products are under warranty for total of twelve months from the date of purchase.
  4. The Warranty period commences on the date of delivery. In the case, where customer lost the proof-of-purchase, the warranty period shall be deemed to have started from the the date of manufacture indicated on the products or obtained from the serial number.
  5. Within the warranty period, AIWA (Singapore) will, at no additional charge, perform repair or replacement of defects in workmanship or parts covered by this warranty.
  6. If repair is not possible or not commercially viable, AIWA (Singapore) may replace the product with a new or refurbished product of similar functionality. After a repair, firmware upgrade or replacement, the warranty period will continue from the date of the original purchase.
  7. Product is considered Out of Warranty based on the conditions set forth in the Limitations and Exclusions section.

Limitations and Exclusions

The Warranty shall be rendered null and void if:

  • The Warranty Period has expired.
  • The product is damaged due to improper use, mishandling, or negligence after the purchase of the Product.
  • Warranty does not cover the natural ageing of materials, normal wear and tear, or if customer change of mind.
  • Warranty does not cover consequential damages (e.g. loss of data or loss of income)
  • Alteration on the proof-of-purchase or model/serial number in any way or is made illegible. (e.g. removed, erased defaced, altered or tampered)
  • In the event of loss of invoice or delivery order, AIWA (Singapore)’s technical support team will be using the product’s serial number to verify if the product is still within the warranty period from manufacturer build date. 
  • Repairs or product modifications have been carried out by unauthorised company or persons.
  • Defect caused by excessive use outside the intended purpose.
  • Defect resulted from the abuse of the product or by environmental conditions that are not in conformance with the user manual of the product.
  • Damages caused by connecting non-recommended peripherals, additional equipment or accessories in the user manual.
  • Damages caused by act of nature such as animals, lightning, unusual voltage, fire, natural disaster, rain, etc.
  • Integration of third party application used on- or with the purchase products.
  • Products that have image retention is not covered as it is temporary: it will go off naturally in time.
  • Screen Burn-In will not be covered as it is classified as user-caused damage (such as keeping the TV on for long hours with static images being displayed as it is recommended to keep the screen off when customers are not using it)

AIWA (Singapore) Pixel Policy

AIWA (Singapore)’s pixel policy covers any defects that exceed the defect specifications described as follow:

Definition of Sub-Pixel Defect:

  • A red, blue and green sub-pixel that is always lit on a black background of an LED screen is deemed as a bright sub-pixel.
  • A pixel that is always dark or coloured on a white background of an LCD screen is deemed a dark pixel.

Should the LCD panel be diagnosed to contain or exceed the following number of non-conforming pixels within the duration of the Warranty period, the LCD panel is then considered as a defect and can be claimed under the warranty guidelines.

AIWA (Singapore)’s pixel policy covers any defects that exceed the defect specifications described as follow:

Return Policy 

Customer may return their order if they received the wrong product.

The general requirements for return are as follows:

  • Proof of Purchase (Order invoice and Receipt)
  • The goods must be in new condition and returned in the original, unopened packaging along with all original accessories (including manuals, warranty cards, remote controls, certificate of authenticity) and any free gifts received with it.
  • The product must not have been used.twelve
